What a wonderful morning celebrating the achievements, talents and contributions of our pupils.
Our P1 children opened the ceremony with a delightful performance of βIβm On My Way,βfull of energy, fun and confidence. They certainly got our celebrations off to a fantastic start! πΆ
We were delighted to present our Endeavour Awards to pupils from P3βP7, recognising determination, resilience and a positive attitude to learning. Academic Certificates and Academic Cups were also awarded to pupils who have worked exceptionally hard throughout the year.
Congratulations to our sporting award winners, including:

π Netball Award
We also celebrated our top School Council representative and presented the Spirit of Londonderry Eco Award to pupils who have shown a real commitment to caring for our environment. π
A special mention goes to our Volunteer Now Impact Award recipients. We were incredibly proud to recognise pupils who have given their time so generously to help others at our early morning club, with some achieving an outstanding 100 hours of service. What an incredible example of citizenship and community spirit!
The recipient of the Music Cup, along with the prestigious P7 Anderson Shield and Smith Shield, will be announced on Monday during our P7 Leaversβ Assembly.
Congratulations to all of our award winners and to every pupil who has contributed so positively to school life this year. We are incredibly proud of you all. βπβ€οΈ
A huge well done to our P7s who attended Stormont parkrun this morning for graduating couch to 5k! The sun came out for us and we were spurred on by our family and friends cheering us on! A treat and a play in the playpark afterwards was a welcome reward. Congratulations Team LPS P7! π³ πββοΈ πββοΈ
As we come to the end of another school year, our stars continue to shine brightly! ππ
A huge well done to this weekβs superstars who have been recognised for their enthusiasm, effort and achievement across many areas of school life. They impressed us with their positive participation during Sports Day and Fitness Day, demonstrated wonderful creativity in their learning, and made excellent contributions to our World Around Us topics through animal fact files and work on holidays past and present.
We are also celebrating pupils who showcased their ICT coding skills, developed their cricket techniques with determination, and produced persuasive and engaging advertisements.
We are so proud of all you have achieved. Keep shining and showing what you can do right to the very end of the year! π

Thank you for your continued support.
Together, letβs make reading fun this summer! π
From the profits made through the Young Enterprise Business Beginnings programme, P7B chose to donate Β£75 back into YE as a legacy for delivering next yearβs programme. They also voted to donate Β£75 to Action Deaf Youth. This is a fantastic local charity who supports deaf and hearing-impaired babies, children and young people. This charity is close to P7Bβs hearts as they have provided excellent support to our own pupils. Today, our class enjoyed a visit from Julie and Michelle, along with their interpreter Chloe, who told us about what Action Deaf Youth does to support and empower young people and their families, and what the pupilsβ donation will be used for. These pupils are definitely living up to the LPS promise of educating, encouraging and caring!

The football season ended with a match against league winners Victoria, and a friendly against Castle Gardens. Well done to every player who represented the school team this season. Keep practising those skills and good luck with your football development.
Unfortunately, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel Sports Day tomorrow.
The weather has not been on our side, and following a risk assessment we feel that the conditions are not safe. The tennis courts are likely to be slippery, creating a health and safety concern, and the grass area for our P1 and P2 pupils is simply too wet for activities to take place safely.
At this stage, I am unsure whether we will have another suitable date available before the end of term. However, please be assured that all children will still have the opportunity to take part in Sports Day activities during school time, either within their class or year group, and on a dry day.
I appreciate that this news may be disappointing for both children and families, and I apologise for any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
