Super Saturday at LPS is officially underway! ☀️🪴🎨🔧
Huge thanks to our brilliant parents, pupils and staff team who have given up their Saturday to help make our school shine.
Painting, watering, weeding, cleaning, DIY, general maintenance… basically an episode of DIY SOS: Primary School Edition! 😅
The teamwork, laughs and community spirit have been fantastic already. We really do have the best school family. 💙
Now… who said schools sleep at the weekend? 👀

The P2 children had a fantastic trip to Ark Farm and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the animals. They were enthusiastic, engaged, and took part in all activities with great interest. Their behaviour was excellent throughout the day and they represented the school wonderfully.🐷🐄🐔🐴
📢 Reminder for everyone before the long weekend.
School will be closed on Monday for the Bank Holiday and also closed for pupils on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th.
We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned break and maybe even a little sunshine! Time to dust off the BBQs, and inflate the paddling pools! Here’s hoping the weather forecast behaves itself! ☀️🍔💦
Meanwhile, our very own “Super Saturday” is happening tomorrow, 10am-1pm. Mrs Hutton has organised a day of planting, painting, DIY and general maintenance to help get the school grounds looking their best for the Summer Fair and the summer term ahead. 🌼🎨🪴
⭐️🌟 Stars of the Week 🌟⭐️
This week our classroom mathematicians have been BUSY!
From identifying coins and counting forwards and backwards, to solving number stories, calculating percentages and even tackling coordinates like mini sat navs… we are very impressed! 🌟
Special mention for those giving 100% even when things were a bit tricky.
Fantastic effort, brilliant attitudes and lots of perseverance shown all week. Keep it up superstars! ⭐️

👑Royal excitement for our P7s today! 👑
On their way back from Shnuggle, the children saw the King and Queen… and of course received the all-important royal wave! 🇬🇧👋🏻
A day fit for royalty for our fantastic P7s.
A huge thank you to the staff who gave up time away from their own families to accompany our P6 and P7 residential trips. These experiences and memories simply would not be possible without their commitment, care and energy.
Mrs Lowry led the Dublin trip alongside Mr Robinson, Mr Barr and Miss Bell.
Mrs Bingham led the P6 Ganaway trip alongside Mr Adams, Miss Bell and Mrs Watters.
We are so proud of all our children, who were fantastic ambassadors for Londonderry Primary beyond the school gates. Their manners, behaviour and positivity were commented on throughout both trips. 🌟
Memories made, friendships strengthened, and staff now probably needing a very large coffee and a good nights sleep.
