🌦️ Sports Day: Take Two! 🌦️
After today’s washout, we have rescheduled Sports Day for Wednesday 10th June.
The good news is that all arrangements and timings remain exactly the same as today.
We are hoping the weather is kinder to us next week, but if we are unlucky enough to be rained off for a second time, our class teachers will make sure the children still get their chance to shine by organising races during PE sessions and any dry spells before the end of term.
Surely we can’t lose twice to a bit of Northern Ireland weather… can we? ☔️🌦️🙈
Unfortunately, Sports Day has been cancelled as the weather just hasn’t been on our side. 🌧️
The safety of our children is always our priority, and the conditions are simply too wet to go ahead today.
We know everyone was looking forward to a day of fun, competition and cheering on their friends, but we will work to find a new date over the coming weeks and will keep everyone updated.
Fingers crossed for some sunshine soon! ☀️🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️
Unfortunately, our Foundation Sports Day has been rained off. 🌧️
While we know our youngest athletes were ready to showcase their speed, jumping skills and competitive spirit, the grass area at school is simply too wet and slippery for safe competition.
We will continue to keep a close eye on the weather for our KS1 and KS2 sessions. As these events are taking place off-site and not on grass, there is still every chance they can go ahead if the rain eases. 🌦️
Fingers crossed that the weather forecast remembers it is June and gives us a break later this morning. ☀️🤞🏻We will keep everyone updated!
