Londonderry Primary School, Newtownards

Welcome

At Londonderry Primary School we believe in educating every child, encouraging their unique potential and caring for their wellbeing - preparing them for a bright and successful future.  We have a proud and rich tradition of academic excellence, strong pastoral support and an extensive range of extracurricular provision and after school clubs. Our school ethos is “Educating, Encouraging, Caring” and we pride ourselves on the supportive, family atmosphere we have created.

We provide a safe, caring environment and endeavour to instill a love of learning whilst striving to create lifelong learners. Every child will be able to look back on how they have participated in the life of the school and how they made a valuable and valued positive contribution.

For us, positive relationships and excellent communication are of paramount importance as we work closely together with parents and our community towards shared goals. We therefore hope you enjoy looking around our website and if you need any more information please do not hesitate to get in touch.  Together we will shape the future with learning, kindness and care.

Last reminding Red Noses are still on sale tomorrow! £2.00 each 😃 Help LPS School Council support Comic Relief 🔴🎉
Len from Telford Opticians came to visit P1 yesterday. He explained the importance of looking after our eyes, what foods are good for our vision and how important it is to get outside to maintain good eyesight. P1 had fun looking at the different styles of glasses over the last 100 years. Thanks for visiting Len!
The girls’ hockey team showed fantastic spirit as they took on four schools in an exciting hockey blitz. Their communication on the pitch was outstanding, and their strong friendships really shone through in every game. A special mention goes to top goal scorers Eva and Irina for their brilliant performances. Miss Bell is incredibly proud of each and every one of them, and we’re already looking forward to the next tournament. A big thank you as well to all the parents for your support in getting the team there—it’s greatly appreciated! 🏑 ❤️ 💙
Good luck to our girls at their first hockey blitz today! 🏑 Communicate, stay positive, and most importantly, enjoy every moment. Go out there and make yourselves proud!
