At Londonderry Primary School we believe in educating every child, encouraging their unique potential and caring for their wellbeing - preparing them for a bright and successful future. We have a proud and rich tradition of academic excellence, strong pastoral support and an extensive range of extracurricular provision and after school clubs. Our school ethos is “Educating, Encouraging, Caring” and we pride ourselves on the supportive, family atmosphere we have created.
We provide a safe, caring environment and endeavour to instill a love of learning whilst striving to create lifelong learners. Every child will be able to look back on how they have participated in the life of the school and how they made a valuable and valued positive contribution.
For us, positive relationships and excellent communication are of paramount importance as we work closely together with parents and our community towards shared goals. We therefore hope you enjoy looking around our website and if you need any more information please do not hesitate to get in touch. Together we will shape the future with learning, kindness and care.
P3 had a fabulous day at Mount Stewart linking to their topics of houses and homes, schools and transport. They went back in time to discover what school was like in the past, heard the story of how Lady Helen played a trick on her servant and saw the amazing rooms in the mansion. It was fun to work out how to play with the old toys in the nursery and also to see the beautiful coach they used to travel. A super day for all! More photos to follow ๐๐๐ป
Our Jungle Book performance was simply fantastic! The children had an absolute ball on stage, and their energy and enthusiasm shone through from start to finish. It was a wonderful showcase of their talent, confidence and teamwork, bringing so much delight to everyone watching.
We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them. What a show they put on! We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did. ๐

This week, we are celebrating pupils who truly demonstrated the Spirit of Londonderry.
These children stood out for always giving their best, even when things felt challenging, and for showing resilience and determination in all they do.
They impressed us with their fabulous manners, kindness, and respect towards others. Always ready to lend a helping hand, they are wonderful friends and excellent role models within our school community.
Their positive attitude and ever-present smiles brighten our days. Well done to each and every one of you! ๐
