Londonderry Primary School, Newtownards

Welcome

At Londonderry Primary School we believe in educating every child, encouraging their unique potential and caring for their wellbeing - preparing them for a bright and successful future.  We have a proud and rich tradition of academic excellence, strong pastoral support and an extensive range of extracurricular provision and after school clubs. Our school ethos is “Educating, Encouraging, Caring” and we pride ourselves on the supportive, family atmosphere we have created.

We provide a safe, caring environment and endeavour to instill a love of learning whilst striving to create lifelong learners. Every child will be able to look back on how they have participated in the life of the school and how they made a valuable and valued positive contribution.

For us, positive relationships and excellent communication are of paramount importance as we work closely together with parents and our community towards shared goals. We therefore hope you enjoy looking around our website and if you need any more information please do not hesitate to get in touch.  Together we will shape the future with learning, kindness and care.

A huge thank you to the staff who gave up time away from their own families to accompany our P6 and P7 residential trips. These experiences and memories simply would not be possible without their commitment, care and energy. Mrs Lowry led the Dublin trip alongside Mr Robinson, Mr Barr and Miss Bell. Mrs Bingham led the P6 Ganaway trip alongside Mr Adams, Miss Bell and Mrs Watters. We are so proud of all our children, who were fantastic ambassadors for Londonderry Primary beyond the school gates. Their manners, behaviour and positivity were commented on throughout both trips. 🌟 Memories made, friendships strengthened, and staff now probably needing a very large coffee and a good nights sleep.
Lots more fun this morning at Ganaway with Primary 6. They have been amazing! 🀩
A fabulous day with Primary 6 at Ganaway. Lots of very brave boys and girls who have challenged themselves and have had amazing fun!
P1 have had an extremely busy week last week. We had lots of fun learning about quite unique animals when Amazon Jungle visited on Monday. 🐍On Tuesday they all planted a Lily, and on Wednesday they had their final musical session with Nina's Notes. πŸŒΈπŸ™πŸŽ΅The fun didn't stop there! Thursday was the best day when P1 had a shared plant and play session with the boys and girls from Glenbrook Nursery. 🌿πŸͺ΄β›ΉοΈβ€β™€οΈCameron and Miss Collins loved catching up with some of the P1 children.
School Money issue. Unfortunately, SchoolMoney is still experiencing issues. If you need to book a school dinner or an early morning / after-school place for tomorrow, please call in to see Miss Tate first thing in the morning, or we can take bookings by telephone until 11am. It’s going to be a busy start to the week… Happy Monday! πŸ™ˆβ€οΈπŸ’™
