Londonderry Primary School, Newtownards

Welcome

At Londonderry Primary School we believe in educating every child, encouraging their unique potential and caring for their wellbeing - preparing them for a bright and successful future.  We have a proud and rich tradition of academic excellence, strong pastoral support and an extensive range of extracurricular provision and after school clubs. Our school ethos is “Educating, Encouraging, Caring” and we pride ourselves on the supportive, family atmosphere we have created.

We provide a safe, caring environment and endeavour to instill a love of learning whilst striving to create lifelong learners. Every child will be able to look back on how they have participated in the life of the school and how they made a valuable and valued positive contribution.

For us, positive relationships and excellent communication are of paramount importance as we work closely together with parents and our community towards shared goals. We therefore hope you enjoy looking around our website and if you need any more information please do not hesitate to get in touch.  Together we will shape the future with learning, kindness and care.

A huge well done to one of our amazing pupils on achieving their Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu.πŸ₯‹ This is a fantastic accomplishment that reflects dedication, perseverance and hard work over a long period of time. We are incredibly proud of your commitment and the positive example you set for others. Keep reaching for your goals; what an achievement!
Our hockey players were congratulated for their fantastic efforts at the recent hockey blitz with Ards and North Down Council; a brilliant achievement! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ Well done to everyone involved!
With no regular assembly this morning two pupils popped down to see Mrs Weir. Congratulations to a rugby superstar and a big thank you to a pupil who brought Mrs Weir a picture to brighten her day. We will announce our Star of the Week during hymn practice next Wednesday! 🌟
We had a slightly different assembly today as iRock took to the stage. 🎸πŸ₯πŸŽ€ Our iRock pupils, who have been enjoying weekly sessions throughout the year, showcased their talents in front of a delighted audience of parents and pupils. It was fantastic to see our singers, drummers and guitarists performing with such confidence and enthusiasm. Well done to all involved for their hard work and courage in performing.
