Unfortunately, Sports Day has been cancelled as the weather just hasn’t been on our side. 🌧️
The safety of our children is always our priority, and the conditions are simply too wet to go ahead today.
We know everyone was looking forward to a day of fun, competition and cheering on their friends, but we will work to find a new date over the coming weeks and will keep everyone updated.
Fingers crossed for some sunshine soon! ☀️🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️
Unfortunately, our Foundation Sports Day has been rained off. 🌧️
While we know our youngest athletes were ready to showcase their speed, jumping skills and competitive spirit, the grass area at school is simply too wet and slippery for safe competition.
We will continue to keep a close eye on the weather for our KS1 and KS2 sessions. As these events are taking place off-site and not on grass, there is still every chance they can go ahead if the rain eases. 🌦️
Fingers crossed that the weather forecast remembers it is June and gives us a break later this morning. ☀️🤞🏻We will keep everyone updated!
🌦️ Sports Day is scheduled for tomorrow… and we are currently keeping one eye on the forecast and one eye on the sky!
At the moment, it is impossible to make a call. If we get a decent dry spell tomorrow, we’ll be lacing up our trainers and going for it. 🏃🏻🏃🏼♀️
We know some parents may have arranged time off work, and we really appreciate your patience. Fingers crossed the weather is kind to us overnight! 🤞🏻
A final decision will be made tomorrow morning, and we will keep everyone updated as soon as possible.
Until then… think sunny thoughts ☀️

Numbots Celebration
This morning we celebrated our May Numbots leaders. This month we were looking at pupils who earned the most coins. Well done to Oskar (P2B), Jax (P3N) and Jude (P4A)! Big congratulations to Leon in P4A who has graduated Numbots, completing all levels – a huge achievement!
We are so impressed with the pupils’ engagement in Numbots, a whopping 98% of P2-P4 are accessing it! This is a great way to be able to help your child at home. Just 3 mins a day improves your child’s fundamental number skills; these are essential building blocks for further Numeracy.
Well done, boys and girls! 🌟⭐️

Super Saturday at LPS is officially underway! ☀️🪴🎨🔧
Huge thanks to our brilliant parents, pupils and staff team who have given up their Saturday to help make our school shine.
Painting, watering, weeding, cleaning, DIY, general maintenance… basically an episode of DIY SOS: Primary School Edition! 😅
The teamwork, laughs and community spirit have been fantastic already. We really do have the best school family. 💙
Now… who said schools sleep at the weekend? 👀
