At Londonderry Primary School we believe in educating every child, encouraging their unique potential and caring for their wellbeing - preparing them for a bright and successful future. We have a proud and rich tradition of academic excellence, strong pastoral support and an extensive range of extracurricular provision and after school clubs. Our school ethos is “Educating, Encouraging, Caring” and we pride ourselves on the supportive, family atmosphere we have created.
We provide a safe, caring environment and endeavour to instill a love of learning whilst striving to create lifelong learners. Every child will be able to look back on how they have participated in the life of the school and how they made a valuable and valued positive contribution.
For us, positive relationships and excellent communication are of paramount importance as we work closely together with parents and our community towards shared goals. We therefore hope you enjoy looking around our website and if you need any more information please do not hesitate to get in touch. Together we will shape the future with learning, kindness and care.

Marathon training at LPS is a whole-school operation; nobody gets left behind! ππ»ββοΈππΌββοΈ
Our competitors are working hard, while the rest of the school has taken on the vital role of "motivational support" (also known as shouting from a safe distance or shaking our Pom Pomβs!).
No time for resting, unless you're tying a shoelace... or dramatically pretending to.
At Londonderry Primary, our ethos is simple: Educating, Encouraging and Caring. We train together, laugh together, and occasionally wonder whose idea this was in the first place!

We could not have our usual Friday assembly this morning as our hall was busy with the school photographer; but that was not going to stop us celebrating our superstars! π
Our award winners came to Mrs Weirβs office for a special celebration together. From GB trophies to gymnastics, dance and rugby achievements. Our pupils continue to make us incredibly proud.
Well done to each and every one of you; you are shining brightly both in and out of school! β

This month our Numbots celebration focused on children achieving 3 stars in their levels. This means they were challenging themselves to work carefully and with accuracy. Congratulations to Oskar, Jaxon and Leon who each led their year group in achieving 3 star levels!
We also celebrated some more pupils graduating Numbots - huge congratulations to Enzo, Sebastian and Ethan!

It is that time of year once again. Our P7 pupils have been busy taking part in the Young Enterprise Business Beginnings programme; and what a fantastic experience it has been!
From conducting job interviews and hiring their teams, to developing creative product ideas, our pupils have fully embraced the challenge. The confidence, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills on display have been superb.
This is always a brilliant initiative for our P7s, helping them build real-life skills in such an engaging way.
We are excited to share what they have been working on; hereβs a look at the products theyβll be selling from Monday! ππ»
A big thank you to Jon from our Neighbourhood Environment team for visiting today and sharing such important advice on dog control and safety. πΎ
Our P1/2 pupils gained valuable tips on how to stay safe and interact positively with dogs. Charlie and Jess were definitely the stars of the show; an absolute hit with everyone! πΆ
